Tofu Egg Drop Soup

Lacy and nutritious, this beautiful soup is made with a handful of ingredients.

Another Chinese invention, Egg Drop soup is now popular around the world. The technique of slowly pouring whisked whole eggs into the hot broth in order to form the lace/ flower like strands has also been widely adopted - probably because of its simplicity and stunning results.

Ingredient wise, you will only require a few eggs, chicken broth, scallions and a bit of white (or black) pepper.

We also added tofu to enhance the protein content and make the soup more filling.

Sesame oil and sesame seeds are optional and can add an extra layer of flavor.
