Tavuk Shish - Chicken Kebab
A burst of flavor in every bite.

The name of the dish literally means "chicken on a skewer". The original spelling is "Tavuk Şiş" and this is the Turkish variation to Shish Taouk.
While easy to make, this recipe uses a flavorful marinade for the chicken, for an incredibly tasty result. Definitely a keeper!
For best results, you will need to marinate your chicken for a few hours or overnight.
Once marinated, place the chicken pieces on skewers and keep the leftover sauce/ marinade. You will use it to brush the chicken before turning it.
We recommend broiling the chicken for about 8 minutes on each side, however you can choose to cook the chicken longer for more browning - in which case you may want to brush it one more time, to help keep the meat juicy.
To highlight the flavor of the chicken, serve the skewers plainly, with a side of rice or pita and freshly cut vegetables.
If you need a special treat to make this experience more authentic, serve Tavuk Shish with a few cubes of traditional rosewater Turkish delight. Yum!
