Slow cooker Chicken Tagine
Updated: May 1, 2021
A Moroccan delicacy that bursts with different flavors for every bite.

A bouquet of flavors, a Moroccan tajine (also spelled <tagine>) gets its uniqueness from the multitude of aromatic ingredients that go into making it, the mix of sweet and salty and fragrant which enchants with every bite.
The name of this dish is shared with the traditional dish in which this food is being prepared, a clay (or ceramic) vessel with a conical lid - which forces any lost moisture back into the food. If your home has a tagine use this for making this dish - otherwise feel free to use a slow cooker instead.
Our recipe suggests caramelizing the onion and browning the chicken before transferring these to the slow cooker - in order to help enhance flavor even further.
We hope you love this dish as much as we did!
