Ratatouille

"Anyone can cook!"

Inspired by Remy's memory evoking culinary masterpiece, Ratatouille is a simple, rustic dish that makes for a bouquet of flavors.
While Remy's dish is not really Ratatouille, but Confit Byaldi, we chose to opt for a pan made version instead. This helped cut on cooking time.
Onions and red pepper, eggplant and mushrooms, zucchini and fennel are added one by one to the dish and then roasted together to help develop this the wonderful taste of ratatouille.
While the dish itself does not make for a complete meal, added white beans give this meal enough protein and starch to feed your muscles and brain, without compromising on taste.
Fun fact: Remy's inspiration, Chef Auguste Gusteau, has a very interesting name. Not only is his first name (AuGuste) an anagram of his last name (GusteAu), but the name Gusteau itself could very well come from the Latin word <Gustum> - which means <taste> or <ad gustum> which means <to one's taste/ liking>.
