There was no way I would not include Tiana's gumbo in this Disney inspired menu - because I always wanted to learn to make gumbo, but also because I can't help but appreciate a character that chases their dreams relentlessly.
This recipe was made in the slow cooker and the flavors combined absolutely amazing.
So much so, that, just like Tiana, you're going to want to open the door and shout "Hey, everybody! I made gumbo!" once your gumbo is done.
Word of advice: If you're used to spicy foods, go for the full 2 tablespoons Cajun spices - otherwise stick to 1 tablespoon (or less).
I included instructions for boiling a bit of rice to have with your gumbo.
Along with the gumbo, this will make for a complete meal.
This is probably my favorite finding of the week and I can't wait to make it again.
