Pescado con Coco

Dominican fish in coconut sauce.

This tropical dish is a staple of Samana - the Dominican Peninsula facing the Atlantic Ocean.

The ingredients to make it are fairly simple: white fish, oregano, coconut milk, coriander and lots of bell peppers. Yellow, orange and red bell peppers will all give this meal an amazingly beautiful color and make you feel like you're dining on an island.

What's special about cooking Pescado con coco is the fact that the fish gets cooked directly into coconut milk, which makes it extra creamy and, of course, extra delicious.
