Simple ingredients for a spectacular result. Also: Thank you basil!
Personally I adore the smell and taste of fresh basil and this recipe certainly utilizes it to its full potential. The original recipe comes from Once Upon a Chef. I've made a few minor changes along the way.
While the salad held fairly well throughout the week, I will certainly make it in 2 or 3 batches next time - in order to always get that divine fresh taste each time.
I you can find it, I'd suggest getting potted basil - it will ensure you have enough, keep fresh longer and also grow more basil leaves in the future.
