Cocoa Grilled Chicken with Corn on the Cob and a Green Salad
An easy picnic trio.

Yes, this is practically a 3 in 1 recipe - but all of its parts are super easy to prepare and I couldn't keep them separate.
Start by boiling your corn - as this will take the longest. You can try to add milk and butter to make it creamier (see our Pinterest pin for this week).
The chicken should also take you minutes to prepare: pat dry, coat and stick in the oven.
I added cocoa powder to the rub . No, your chicken will not taste like chocolate (unfortunately) - although I've seen recipes that added a bit of sugar for this exact purpose. Instead, cocoa powder should enhance the flavor of roasted chicken by adding a new depth to its taste. If you want to add a bit of sugar to the rub - just for fun- please-please let me know how it goes.
Lastly: while the chicken is roasting in the oven, put together an easy summer salad. It's the perfect addition for a cute picnic meal.
