Baked Orange Chicken
Updated: Jun 12, 2021
The perfect blend between sweet and sour.

While traditionally this dish involves deep frying the chicken, we set out to prove that one can get an amazingly tasty Orange chicken even when baking it in the oven. Spoiler alert: we succeeded.
Keeping up with our theme of Smart Nutrition Rox, we also made the chicken sweet with oranges and only a touch or Orange marmalade. No, we didn't add any sugar and I couldn't be more proud of how good this turned out.
This is a simple recipe, which requires only a few steps.
We suggest marinating the chicken ahead of time, for extra flavor.
Make the sauce while the chicken is baking in the oven, and then toss your hot chicken over the sauce to give it that beautiful orange color.
Adding sesame oil is optional, yet this would add extra flavor and glossiness to the chicken.
This recipe requires a salad to make it into a complete meal. We suggest pairing it with our Luck and Prosperity salad, which is also part of the Chinese Food menu.
